Assistant Cafeteria Manager

Apply now!  Qualified Staffing is seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Cafeteria Manager to support daily operations in a fast-paced cafeteria environment in Forsyth, GA.  This position is ideal for someone who has previous food service and management experience, enjoys working with people, and can take initiative in a busy kitchen.   Prior kitchen or cafeteria supervisory/ management experience are preferred.  Schedule: Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM (Full-time)Available Positions: 1Pay: $16 - $20/hour depending upon experience   Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Manager with the daily operation of the cafeteria
• Help supervise and support kitchen staff
• Assist with food preparation and meal service
• Prepare food according to standardized recipes and established procedures
• Help oversee meal production, serving line setup, food presentation, and food quality
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Assist with maintaining accurate food, equipment, and supply inventories
• Assist with kitchen staffing and work schedules as needed
• Operate and maintain food service equipment safely and properly
• Assist with required reports and other documentation
• Help ensure state and local health codes and food service requirements are followed
• Provide a positive and professional experience for students, staff, parents, and visitors
• Assume the Kitchen Manager’ s duties during temporary absences or as assigned
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience required
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous supervisory, kitchen leadership, or food service management experience preferred
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Able to effectively work with and support a team
• Able to follow written and oral instructions
• Basic computer skills
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint and criminal background check
