PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist the cafeteria manager in the management of the food service operation at assigned campus. Assume the responsibilities of overall management, in the absence of the cafeteria manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educations/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Food Handlers Permit Required
- One year experience in institutional food services operations
- Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of food production, preparation, and handling
- Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to accurately perform basic math functions
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to supervise, train, and manage other staff members
- Basic knowledge of National School Breakfast and School Lunch Program regulations
