Job Summary: The Assistant Center Manager supports the Center Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a Community Health Center, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and regulatory compliance. This role supervises administrative staff, promotes staff development, and ensures the accuracy of practice management data to optimize reimbursement. Working closely with the management team, the Assistant Center Manager helps drive patient satisfaction, reduce no-show rates, maintain budget performance, and uphold compliance with HRSA and TJC standards. The position also plays a key role in coordinating and facilitating staff communication and meetings to support overall organizational effectiveness.

  • Work Location: FLOAT South Region (Sanford, Moncure, Siler, Carrboro)
  • Schedule: Monday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm , Wednesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm , Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm , Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm , Saturday: PRN
  • Travel: To All Listed PHS SitesAs Needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities -

  • Supervision of administrative staff.
  • Training and development of administrative staff
  • Accuracy of data in Practice Management system to ensure maximum reimbursement
  • Collaboration with the Center’s management team to ensure compliance with Budget expectations
  • Ensures facility maintenance and safety standards are met.
  • Works in collaboration with management team insuring TJC and HRSA standards are compliant.
  • In collaboration with management team insures optimal patient access and efficiency practices are met.
  • Works with PHS Communications team regarding community outreach and alignment with PHS Signage
  • Standards.
  • Purchasing and Inventory control of administrative supplies.
  • Partners with the provider team to determine ultimate access and scheduling practices.
  • Coordinates with the Leadership team at each location for monthly staff meetings, facilities, prepares necessary documentation, agenda, minutes.
  • Coordinates with outside groups regarding on site visits, tours.
  • Assists Center Manager with projects as needed.
  • Assists Center Manager with cash handling procedures and internal revenue of the center. 

Qualifications -

Education: High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience: Preferred prior management experience of 2 or more years. Teamwork, communication, planning, organization,

decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment

Pay Range: $50,503 - $67,607 (commensurate with years of experience)
