Job Title: Assistant Chef
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Head Chef
Position is Seasonal from: May 25h through October 14th. Priority given to applicants who can commit to the full season.
Duties will include but are not exclusive to:
5 day work week
Assisting the Head Chef and staff in food preparation for 60 to 70 people, three meals a day;
Prepping, cooking (breakfast/eggs, lunch/grilling) and baking
Maintaining a clean work area.
On the Head Chef s days off (Wednesday/Thursday):
Planning and preparing meals for the day with support from the prep chef and input from the head chef
Using the Sysco app Thursday to place an order for what is needed for the next few days
Managing the staff and the kitchen as needed
Requirements:
The physical ability to do the job; lifting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching and more.
Work experience in the food industry, professional cooking and baking from scratch experience required
Valid driver's license
