License/Certification Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Third Class Steam Engineers License issued by the state of Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia.
Responsibilities:The Assistant Chief Engineer supports daily facility operations by ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant MEP system performance, supervising staff, enforcing standards, and leading maintenance and emergency response, assuming full responsibility in the Chief Engineer’s absence.
Work is performed in a 24/7 mission-critical facility environment requiring on-call availability as needed. The role involves working in mechanical and electrical spaces, including confined areas, to support operations and maintenance activities.
