Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and optimize complex proton therapy treatment plans using the latest pencil beam scanning technology.
- Serve as a backup planner, providing coverage during staff absences or high-volume periods, ensuring seamless clinical operations.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other medical staff to ensure precise and safe dose delivery.
- Participate actively in departmental administrative functions, including staff training, procedural development, and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead or assist in educational activities, including structured training and demonstrations for visiting staff and partners from other proton centers.
- Support ongoing research activities and contribute to departmental development efforts aimed at advancing proton therapy practices.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or higher degree in Medical Physics, Radiation Therapy, or related health sciences.
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist with at least five years of hands-on proton therapy planning experience.
- Proven expertise in proton treatment planning, specifically with pencil beam scanning technology.
- Strong understanding of proton physics, dosimetric techniques, and quality assurance processes.
- Exceptional team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex cases, and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Willingness to participate in hybrid work arrangements (minimum two days per week on-site after the initial three-month probation period).
- Leadership experience or interest in administrative roles within radiation oncology.
- Previous involvement in training or mentoring new staff or external partners.
- Familiarity with research support and departmental development initiatives.
