Assistant Choir Director/Accompanist Itinerant Pool - Secondary 2026-2027

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or Piano performance;
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate.

PREFERED:

• Ability to implement policy and procedures;
• Piano skills proficient enough to accompany choirs at the 6A level;
• Must be able to accompany masterworks;
• Must possess good sight-reading skills; and must be adaptable.

The Assistant Choir Director/Accompanist Itinerant will be required to work with secondary campuses and assist them with extra-curricular events, including concerts, TMEA and UIL events. The Assistant Choir Director/Accompanist Itinerant will accompany all performing groups to concert and sight reading competition, Solo and Ensemble, and all other choral performances required by the district.
