Salary Range: $130,000 - $155,000 USD
SUMMARY
The Assistant City Manager supports the City Manager by leading complex, confidential, and sensitive initiatives related to the priorities set by Mayor and Board of Commissioners, internal policy development and citywide administrative functions. This position provides high-level analytical, operational, and strategic support to advance organizational goals, coordinate policy changes, and strengthen collaboration across departments.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides supervision to the Director of Special Projects and the Community Liaison.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret various graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is typically in an office environment with some exposure to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
TRAVEL
Travel is minimal (estimated ~5%) and consists mostly of local travel to clients and stakeholders with potential overnight travel for conferences in and out of state.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Evening, weekend, and work hour adjustments may be required as job duties demand.
