Job Summary:

Driven by compassion, inclusivity, integrity, teamwork, and work-life balance, the Athletics Department within the Student Affairs Division is committed to student success by ensuring that high-quality programs and services are delivered by a committed and professional team. The assistant baseball coach will support program recruiting and selection of athletes for the sport of baseball. The incumbent will teach and monitor student-athletes progress in academics and athletics during their tenure at LCC. This position will focus on academic success and developing citizenship to ensure outstanding representation of the College. Secondary focus is on the development of student-athletes athletic abilities within the sport of baseball. Follows rules and guidelines in accordance with NJCAA and MCCAA. Works with Head Coach in developing preliminary budget, schedules, travel, and equipment needs. As needed, may be required to transport athletes using a College-owned vehicle. Regular on-campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Required Qualifications:

• High school Diploma • Demonstrated knowledge of sport training and sport strategies • Valid Drivers License with less than 3 points

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with athletics at the Community College level • Experience coaching baseball at the high school level or above • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
