Assistant Coach - Boys Basketball 5th/6th Grade Team

Indy West Christian School is seeking a caring, dependable, and mature Christian individual to serve as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 5th/6th Grade Team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Head Coach in supervising and teaching student-athletes, while instilling positive Christian character traits.Professional Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDPrior coaching experience preferredStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to coordinate, manage, and prioritize tasks effectivelyAble to maintain confidentialityDemonstrated ability to relate well with students and adultsSpiritual and Personal Qualifications:A personal relationship with God through Jesus ChristActive member of an evangelical churchEvidence of spiritual maturity and a clear Christian testimonyPerson of integrity who exhibits the fruit of the Spirit in actions and speechAble to maintain confidentialityDuties & Responsibilities:Assist in supervising coaches and volunteers within the sportHelp oversee athletes, including locker room supervision and drop-off/pick-up coordinationSupport practice scheduling and communicate conflicts with the athletic departmentHelp maintain athletic facilities and equipment (fields, gym, locker rooms, etc.)Attend all required pre-season athletic department meetingsParticipate in pre-season parent meetings and maintain regular communication with families and athletesEducate families on registration platforms (Final Forms and Eventlink)Assist with uniform distribution and collectionComplete accident reports promptlyHelp organize end-of-season awards banquetSubmit maintenance requests to the Athletic Director as neededServe as a godly role modelObserve the Matthew 18 Principle in all relationshipsMaintain confidentiality regarding student matters
