Bonney Lake High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach for the Girls Soccer program for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for soccer and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position requires collaboration with the head coach and a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
Assist the head coach in planning and implementing effective practice sessions and game strategies.
Provide instruction and support to student-athletes during practices and games.
Help in the recruitment and retention of players, fostering a love for the sport and encouraging participation.
Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among players, encouraging a positive team culture.
Assist with organizing team events, including fundraisers, team meetings, and community outreach.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and competitions.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
Adhere to all school and district policies, as well as rules set forth by relevant athletic associations.
Requirements
Previous coaching experience or significant playing experience in soccer, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other coaching staff.
Commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the soccer season.
A high school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is a plus.
Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
