ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program including planning practices, games, and team activities Provide supervision and mentorship to student-athletes during practices, games, and travel Support player skill development, conditioning, and training in accordance with program philosophy Help maintain inventory and care of football equipment and uniforms Uphold and enforce team rules, school district policies, and WIAA regulations Promote a positive and inclusive team culture focused on effort, respect, and integrity Maintain effective communication with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, athletes, parents, and school staff Attend required coaches' meetings and complete required training, including first aid/CPR and concussion protocol Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes, both in competition and in the school community

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS Valid first aid/CPR Card Previous coaching experience specific to position Knowledge of football fundamentals, strategy, and safety practices Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and community Ability of effectively motivate and inspire high school athletes Willingness to maintain and improve knowledge through regular course work and clinics Meet the WIAA coaching standard criteria Must pass a state and federal background check
