Position Summary

Assistant Softball Coach

Department of Intercollegiate Athletics

Full Time/Term

Primary Responsibilities

• Coaches, recruits, and provides oversight for student-athletes
• Performs administrative duties related to the softball program
• Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and athletics program through community involvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Demonstrated successful softball coaching experience at the high school or college level
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community, and media
• Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically
• Ability to travel extensively with or without accommodations and work alternate work schedules including evenings and weekends
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
