POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Head Coach, Women's Lacrosse, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in the evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes; training and development of players; scouting; team travel arrangements; scheduling; promotions and marketing; fund-raising projects; and summer camps.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in organizing, preparing, and conducting, individual and team practices, training, and competition. Assist in managing, mentoring, and relationship building with student athletes.
Prepare video breakdown and analysis for player development and scouting.
Assist with the recruitment and coordination of prospective Lacrosse studentathletes including email and phone correspondence, player evaluation, in-state and out of state travel, and coordination of campus visits.
Collaborate with the Strength & Conditioning Staff in accordance with the development of training regimen for student-athletes.
Assist with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and general administration of the women's Lacrosse program.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned.
LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
NCAA Rules compliance; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1). Bachelor's degree.
2). Previous collegiate coaching or 4 years collegiate playing experience.
3). Demonstrated experience recruiting student athletes.
4). Demonstrated organizational skills.
5). Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
6). Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
7). Demonstrated leadership skills.
8). Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
9). Demonstrated ability to adhere to the University, NCAA, and Atlantic 10 Conference rules and regulations.
10). Appointment subject to NCAA violation report clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED:
1). 1-2 years coaching experience.
2). Master's Degree OR Bachelor's degree in sports management, business, communications, leadership, entrepreneurship, physical education, etc.
3). Demonstrated coaching or playing experience at the Division I level.
