This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching part-time in the Athletics, Fitness & Rec Programs department. The pool will remain open until June 2027 unless positions are no longer needed.
The Assistant Coach will be involved with all aspects of the Womens Soccer program. This includes recruiting coordination, coaching, and fundraising efforts.
Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the Womens Soccer Head Coach.
Examples of Duties - Essential Functions
Assistant coach is responsible to the Head Coach for performing or assisting in a wide variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the team. Assistant coach will be responsible for assisting at practices, conditioning, scouting. Assistant coach will be responsible for maintaining professional conduct, positive sportsmanship and acting as a role model for the student-athletes. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with staff, faculty and other members at Rogue. Assistant coach will comply with NWAC/NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to drive a state vehicle to and from contests. Other duties as assigned.
Screening Criteria
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Rogue College prior to commencing employment.
Licenses: For assignments requiring operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a valid Oregon Drivers License and proof of an acceptable driving record at the time of hire is are required. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon drivers license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).

Physical fitness, manual dexterity, and coordination are required for about half of the daily work period (about 50%) which is spent participating in physical activities associated with the assigned sport. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, climb, balance, see, talk, hear, and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including the ability to lift and/or move materials up to 60 lbs. daily, and over 60 lbs. occasionally. This position requires both verbal and written communication abilities.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee spends the majority of their time working outdoors and is subject to inclement weather conditions (heat/snow/rain), dust, and excess noise. Travelling in a vehicle with extended sitting periods for away games and recruitment trips.

Pay rate based on the current Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule located on the RCC Human Resources Website unless noted otherwise in the job description.
Adjunct faculty are hired on a term-by-term basis and are not eligible for benefits.
