    Essential Job Functions: What You Will Be Doing

    Core responsibilities of the women's basketball assistant coaching role include supporting the head coach by assisting in planning/conducting practice, recruiting new student-athletes, and serving as a positive role model and mentor for our current student-athletes. These responsibilities are needed to create structure, ensure accountability, support student-athlete development, and achieve continued program success.

    Reason for Role:

    To truly support our student-athletes and continue our tradition of team success, we need a dedicated full-time assistant coach. This role ensures that each athlete receives the attention, mentorship, and development opportunities they deserve. It also allows our program to remain competitive, compliant, and organized, which are all essential for long-term success. Assistant coaches are essential connectors between Maryville's strategic vision and the day-to-day experiences of student-athletes, ensuring that athletics is a powerful vehicle for engagement and community impact.
