Assistant Coaches/Advisors 2026-2027 (Requested Applicants)

This is for individuals who have already been contacted by the Activities Office and requested to apply. If you are interested in working as a coach/advisor please reach out directly to the Activities Office.

Preferred Coach/Advisor Criteria:

• Previous experience coaching/competing in the sport or activity
• A general philosophy on coaching and passion for the sport or activity
• Knowledge of the fundamentals, training, rules, and strategy of the sport or activity
• Ability to effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and administration
• Strong organizational skills
• Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments
• Creating a mutually beneficial relationship between colleagues and the community
• Maintaining a positive and growth-mindset throughout all time of the job
• Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed
• Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of students/student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics /activity/club program
• Being timely and willing to go the extra mile for the program

Reasonable and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position/job.

The final candidate must successfully complete/pass a criminal background check, pre-employment requirements (physical, TB test, etc.), and hiring paperwork.
