Assistant Construction Estimator

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually (DOE)

Job description:

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints , plans, and project documentation to understand project scope
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials and construction components
• Prepare accurate cost projections including labor, materials, and subcontractor work
• Solicit and review proposals from trade partners and suppliers
• Assemble comprehensive estimate packages and client proposal documents
• Identify project requirements and potential cost considerations
• Work closely with management, clients, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and project records
• Occasionally visit potential project sites to support project evaluation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of construction estimating experience
• Experience supporting residential and/or commercial construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction methods and building processes
• Excellent mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and coordination abilities
• Proficiency with computers and construction-related software tools
