Manufacturing Assistant Controller Needed-Cleveland, OH
Manages/coordinates the month-end and year-end close process. Manages accounting of inventory including standard cost system and required valuation-related reserves (E&O, FIFO). Responsible for the accounting of Fixed Assets. Preparation and distribution of Financial Statement Packet. Supervise Staff Accountant.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage/coordinate the month-end close process
- Assist in the preparation of the financial statements, including budgets & forecasts
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for financial statement preparation and audit purposes.
- Manage the accounting for inventory. Maintain the standard cost system, report on operating variances from standard, establish the reval FIFO & E&O reserve and reconcile the book to perpetual inventory values. Work with Material and Inventory Control Manager to perform formal time studies as required.
- Assist in maintaining all accounting files and records for multiple Companies/Subsidiaries.
