LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization. We are in search of an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in overseeing day?to?day accounting operations for a growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company supporting the pharmaceutical industry. This role partners closely with the Controller and Finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes in a fast?paced environment.
Assistant Controller
Location: Ewing, NJ (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 base salary
Industry: Manufacturing (supporting pharmaceutical customers)

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year?end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support external audits, PE reporting requirements, and lender reporting
- Strengthen internal controls and support process improvements and automation
- Partner cross?functionally with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
- Assist with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis
- Help mentor and review work of junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or CPA?track strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing environment experience required (pharma or regulated industry strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month?end close
- Experience in private equity-backed companies a plus
- Hands?on ERP experience; strong Excel skills required
- Ability to thrive in a fast?paced, growth?oriented environment
