We are partnering with a growing organization in the Grand Rapids area seeking an experienced
Assistant Controller for an interim assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly step in to support financial operations, reporting, and month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and account reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accounting accuracy
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Partner with department leaders to analyze financial performance
- Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Provide leadership and support to accounting staff as needed
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Ability to quickly adapt and make an immediate impact

Pay Details: $54.00 to $71.00 per hour
