A well-established manufacturing/distribution organization is seeking a Controller to provide financial leadership, ensure reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role oversees all accounting functions, maintains strong internal controls, and serves as a key partner in strategic decision-making while leading and developing the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in compliance with GAAP
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business objectives
  • Manage all accounting operations, including AP/AR, fixed assets, and costing
  • Ensure strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
  • Partner with leadership to deliver actionable financial insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, systems, and workflows
  • Support tax compliance, audit processes, and cross-functional/international operations as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
  • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience within manufacturing or distribution
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, and operational finance
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and elevate a team
  • Advanced Excel and ERP experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills
