Position: Assistant Controller – Onsite
Role Overview This role supports the Controller in overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Assistant Controller is a key contributor to month-end close, budgeting, audits, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations (general ledger, AP/AR)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and lender compliance reporting
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and fixed asset entries
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain internal controls
  • File annual property tax
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication skills
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Public accounting or corporate accounting background preferred
