What you'll do:
Provide direct day-to-day management, mentorship, and accountability for the general ledger close, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Collections, and the Billing department.
Build strong relational equity with both office personnel and field operations, ensuring a leadership style focused on coaching, development, and mutual trust.
Drive performance and maintain high team morale through corporate restructurings or technology transitions, ensuring the transactional team successfully adapts to modernized workflows.
Directly own and execute the regional monthly close process, ensuring strict adherence to head office deadlines.
Consolidate, analyze, and provide rigorous monthly variance analysis (Budget vs. Forecast vs. Actual).
Mentor and leverage senior accounting staff to develop robust, post-close variance analysis and clean, executive-level financial slide decks comparing regional performance to Budget and Prior Year.
Guard the regional revenue pipeline by auditing the multi-system flow between the current billing system, general ledger, and AP platforms.
Ensure accurate daily and weekly reconciliation of unbilled vs. invoiced revenue to prevent margin leakage.
Provide robust financial and operational analysis to regional leadership, with a targeted focus on profitability outliers.
Own the regional AR aging pipeline. Partner directly with Billing, Collections, and Service Contract teams to identify the root causes of billing errors and credit rebills to structurally reduce regional DSO.
Act as the regional financial champion for the upcoming 6-12 month migration from legacy billing systems to OMS.
Map legacy workflows, train supervisory staff, and eliminate manual data processing bottlenecks to ensure the transactional teams are fully prepared for system updates.
Observe and document data workflows, identifying system gaps and ensuring clean billing and price-grid compliance during the platform transition.
Partner with the Regional Controller to draft technical data specifications for centralized corporate business intelligence analysts to build automated Power BI dashboards.
Utilize modern data platforms, advanced scripting, and AI tools (such as Google Workspace and Gemini) to design creative, out-of-the-box solutions that bridge reporting gaps during the system transition.
What's required:
Mandatory 4-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly analytical/quantitative discipline. CPA or MBA preferred but not required for an operationally elite candidate.

Proven success leading, developing, and earning the trust of transactional accounting or operational billing teams. Must demonstrate clear success as an agent of change who has successfully modified departmental structures or processes.
A documented history of successfully navigating, deciphering, and building order within abstract, fragmented, or multi-source datasets.
