Job TitleAssistant Corporate Counsel, Supply ChainReporting ToAssociate General CounselWork ScheduleHybrid – Buffalo, NYMoog's Corporate Group is looking for a new Assistant Corporate Counsel – Supply Chain!As the Assistant Corporate Counsel for Supply Chain, you will be the primary legal business partner and escalation point for Moog's indirect procurement function and will act as the legal liaison for company-wide direct procurement initiatives. This role requires your expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and international trade regulations. You will also proactively provide legal guidance to help scale operations while minimizing risk across the company's network of vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.You will work a hybrid schedule, at our Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY.QualificationsA Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.An active member in good standing with a state bar (preferably New York).Over five (5) years of legal experience, with significant experience in supply chain, procurement, and commercial transactions.Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements.Deep knowledge of contract law, commercial law (including the UCC), and international trade regulations.Exceptional negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, to include the ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal audiences.Excellent business judgment with the ability to balance business goals with legal risks.Experience advising on intellectual property, cybersecurity, or data privacy issues as they relate to supply chain partners.Exposure to litigation and dispute resolution processes related to commercial or supply chain matters.Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and ability to function effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.It would also be beneficial if you had…Experience with specific industry regulations related to the aerospace, defense and industrial industries.Experience with government contracting and related compliance (e.g., FAR/DFARS).Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software.ResponsibilitiesContract management: Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements related to the indirect procurement operations.
