We are seeking an Assistant Coach for the Cross Country / Track and Field programs

JOB SUMMARY

Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with practice and competition day management and activities for all student-athletes

• Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

• Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.

• Must be CPR and First Aid certified.

• Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred.

Experience:1 to 3 years of Cross Country and/ or Track and Field experience.

Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified

Financial Responsibility: None

Supervision: None

Special Knowledge: Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed.

• Ability to work in less than ideal weather conditions

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays

Please note that this role is based in Arlington, VA. Position will be open until filled.

COMPENSATION / TOTAL REWARDS

This is a stipend position that will be paid bi-weekly. The total amount of the stipend is will be between $500- $4,000.
