This position is eligible for teleworking, which is currently one day per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective hire date.

Position Objective:
This position provides the operational services and strategic oversight required to manage the MTA's material inventory. This multi-dimensional role provides policy direction, analytical, and local supply chain and forecasting services to the Procurement Department, storeroom personnel, and operating departments within all MTA agencies, as it applies to the warehousing and materials management functions. The Assistant Deputy Chief, Materials Management, is responsible for the complex task of controlling the size of MTA's inventory and its material budgets, within resource and space constraints, while meeting the demands of its workforce for materials.
