    An award-winning luxury resort set across sprawling acres in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains is seeking an Assistant Dining Room Manager to help lead its elevated dining experience.

    The Opportunity

    Reporting to the Dining Room Manager, the Assistant Dining Room Manager will help oversee evening dining, bar service, private functions, corporate gatherings, and special events.

    The resort’s flagship restaurant features daily-changing menus centered on local and foraged ingredients, complemented by internationally curated wines, boutique spirits, and regional views.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily dining room setup, pre-service meetings, service execution, and closing
    • Train, coach, and support supervisors and front-of-house team members
    • Maintain elevated service standards and a warm, polished guest experience
    • Coordinate schedules, staffing coverage, floor plans, and seating
    • Monitor service pacing, guest feedback, and special requests
    • Support the wine and beverage program
    • Oversee private dining, corporate functions, and special events
    • Manage inventory and ordering for china, glassware, silverware, and linens
    • Ensure the restaurant remains exceptionally clean, organized, and well maintained
    • Promote positive morale and collaboration across the Food and Beverage team

    Qualifications

    • Two to three years of supervisory or management experience in an upscale or luxury dining environment
    • Working knowledge of wine, spirits, and refined service standards
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
    • Experience with scheduling, labor management, budgeting, and cashiering procedures
    • Comfort using hospitality systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software
    • Ability to remain composed, decisive, and guest-focused in a fast-paced operation
    • Flexibility to work a primarily evening-based schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events

    Physical Requirements

    Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart.
