    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University''s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Full-Time/Regular

    Reporting to the Director of Academic Development, the Assistant Director is primarily responsible for advising a caseload of Questrom residential Full-Time and Part-Time MBA Programs. This role provides high-quality academic advising, supports large-scale events (including the planning and execution of MBA LAUNCH, orientation) and assists with registration and other registrar-related responsibilities. All full-time staff have the opportunity to support Questrom''s Global Immersion travel courses and other student experience and engagement initiatives.

    Job Function 1:

    • Student Advising (60%)
    • Advise a caseload of approximately 300 residential Full-Time and Part-Time MBA students.
    • This includes counseling students on their degree requirements, navigating course selections, communicating with students when there are scheduling or curricular changes, assisting students who fall out of compliance with the university, communicating academic performance and integrity issues, connecting students with campus and university resources for the successful completion of their studies, and assessing external coursework requests for degree credit.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for all student questions regarding school, university, and community resources for non-academic counseling needs as well as university requirements.

    Job Function 2:

    • Signature & Co Curricular Program Support (20%)
    • Serve as liaison to MBA specialty programs, attending program development committee meetings and reporting back to the team with program updates.
    • Assist in overseeing the planning and execution of MBA LAUNCH (orientation).
    • Support co-curricular and signature events. Support Global Immersion travel courses, as needed:
    • Assist with pre-departure preparation and on-site logistics, budget and reconcile trip expenses, and work with faculty to collect and analyze post-trip feedback to inform future programming.

    Job Function 3: Advising Operations (20%)

    • Partner with Questrom Registrar''s Office for registration information and communication.
    • Lead and facilitate registration information sessions, webinars, and open advising hours. Conduct academic progress and graduation audits.

    Required Skills

    • B.A./B.S required., master''s degree in related field strongly preferred, and two to four years of experience in counseling, student services or higher education administration.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized and the ability to multitask.
    • Prior event planning experience preferred. Some evening hours and occasional weekend work required.
