The Assistant Director, Academy Student Support Services supports the year-round academic and holistic student services for The Academy. This position manages the comprehensive suite of academic year supports, including individualized success coach matching, student placement and transportation logistics, ongoing professional development and community programming for Success Coaches, student case management, and school partner management. The Assistant Director ensures that all
support services are responsive to student needs, foster academic growth, and are aligned with the Academy's mission to provide personalized coaching, mentorship, and resources that help students build pathways to post-secondary success.
Oversees all academic year support services for The Academy
Manages partnerships with multiple public, private, and parochial schools in Greater Boston
Coordinates services for a cohort of middle and high school students
Lead the individualized matching of students with BC Success Coaches, ensuring optimal support for academic and personal development.
Oversee placement and transportation logistics, collaborating with partner schools and families to maximize student participation.
Design and implement ongoing professional development and community- building programming for Success Coaches, supporting their effectiveness as mentors and tutors.
Provide comprehensive case management, monitoring student progress, addressing barriers, and coordinating targeted interventions.
Cultivate and manage relationships with partner schools, ensuring effective communication, alignment of supports, and shared commitment to student success.
All staff members are expected to contribute to the overall goals of the division and the university. These contributions (outside of primary work area) may include supporting division and university-wide initiatives, staffing events, and serving on committees as
needed. Some of this work may take place outside of normal business hours.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $61,050 to $76,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
