Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Director - EFAA.The New York Simulation Center for the Health Sciences (NYSIM) is a public-private partnership between NYU Grossman School of Medicine (NYUGSOM) and The City University of New York (CUNY). The Assistant Director works under the direction of the Director and the Assistant Dean of Simulation Education and is responsible for the complex operations of the Simulation Center, a 6 day per week, 12 hour a day operation, ensuring high quality service and exceptional learner/faculty experience is provided and maintained. The individual assists in strategic planning for the Center and provides leadership and guidance for team members to carry out NYSIMs goals and strategic priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master's degree in management, healthcare, nursing, education, instructional technology, or related field and/or minimum of 5 years of related experience. Experience managing complex operations and overseeing workforce planning and management. Proven leadership to drive projects, manage and motivate team members. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience managing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support informed decision-making. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills. Works effectively to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision. Ability to carry out responsibilities in a timely and meticulous manner, demonstrating initiative and creativity. Oversees training, planning, task coordination, and scheduling to support the centers operations and programmatic objectives. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with healthcare professionals, faculty, and students. Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality about sensitive issues and situations. Capacity to assess situations and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $154,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
