Reporting to the Director of Academics and Operations, this position will support the overall Center with its various programs, its staff, and graduate students.
The Assistant Director, Finance & Operations is the primary Center liaison with internal and external constituencies regarding finance and operations. This person assists with: long-range financial planning for the Center, center program and events development, grant proposal development, grant reporting and post-award activities, gift and endowment management, and all other financial matters. Other responsibilities include critical operations work supporting the center, such as, office (house) management, inventory, data file maintenance, archival files, supplies, space management, space requests, and event technical support. Utilizing PeopleSoft and other tools, this person is responsible for all fiscal activities for the organization, including procurement and vendor relations, budget accounting and reporting, HR actions and time submittal for all students. Other responsibilities include: providing support in the areas of fiscal projections, planning and analysis; review and evaluation of operational processes; analysis and reconciliation of all fiscal transactions; report development for senior management, and coordination for all calendars/schedules. Ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures, and collaboratively managing undergrad students and graduate students, year round, are also key duties. This work requires the ability to recruit, train, motivate and develop a team of students, while effectively monitoring expectations and delegating requested work.
The Assistant Director, Finance & Operations will work closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Programming and Assistant Director of Media to develop and implement unique offerings and all of the logistics to enable their success.
Job Location: This position is based at the Center for Psychological Humanities and Ethics on Boston College's campus. Reporting to the Director of Academics and Operations.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $74,450 to $93,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
