ASSISTANT DIRECTOR NETWORK COMPUTING SYSTEMS

Media Lab to assume a leading role in the design, operations, and maintenance of the systems and infrastructure operated by NeCSys for the Lab.

The Assistant Director will supervise all five main functions of NeCSys and their corresponding staff:

  • Networking
  • Computing
  • Multimedia
  • Communications
  • Support Center

Responsible for:

  • Staffing
  • Performance management
  • Training and development of NeCSys employees and temporary staff, including student workers
  • Preparing annual budget for NeCSys operations
  • Establishing computing priorities
  • Determining necessary activities and allocating staff time, budget, and equipment accordingly
  • Implementing and providing significant input into the development of NeCSys strategies, workflows, policies, procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities
