Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director is a professional member of the enrollment team who manages a freshman recruitment territory that will primarily be the northeast United States, reviews and evaluates applications for admission, and represents Lees-McRae College to prospective students and families, as well as school counselors. The Assistant Director must exhibit superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students including interviews, phone calls, emails, texts, and in-person information sessions. The Assistant Director creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective students through events, referrals, online and print communications, school counselor events, regional interviews, accepted student receptions, and manages recruitment activities in targeted initiatives. The successful candidate will also conduct information sessions for prospective students and families. The Assistant Director must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators and staff.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
Normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like. Also, extensive travel is a requirement where the employee must work in high schools, at college fairs in gymnasiums and other event venues.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Evening and weekend work will be consistently required.
Travel
Extensive travel is required and expected. This will include overnight travel.
