The primary responsibility for the Assistant Director of CARE and Support (CARE) is providing administrative support for the Associate Directors (ADs), Senior ADs, and Director of CARE. The Assistant Director must be able to stay abreast of the projects, policies and practices of CARE to offer administrative support. The Assistant Director is responsible for supervision of the front office staff/functions and for pertinent record keeping in adherence with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in communicating and scheduling students receiving case management and support coordination services through CARE. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Director of CARE for the purposes of the annual budget review process and day-to-day budget management (i.e. purchasing/procurement, reconciliation, transfers, etc.). The Assistant Director is responsible for understanding institutional roles of threat assessment and case management services and best practices for administrative functions. The Assistant Director must maintain qualifications through ongoing training and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business, communications, accounting, student development, counseling, higher education or a related field is required. Minimum 1 year management experience required. Other experience in budgeting, accounting, and administrative duties is preferred.

Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
