The Role
The Assistant Director of College Analytics  reports directly to the Director of Alumni Supports and serves as a strategic partner and analytics leader on the College Team at NST. Through strategic thought partnership and delivering analytics-driven insights, the Assistant Director enables network and campus leaders to see around corners, make decisions, and shape strategy and policy. This person is an adept cross-functional collaborator who helps leaders across departments internalize how their own functional area work impacts long-term college success and career outcomes, sharpening strategic decision-making to drive exceptional college and career success outcomes for Noble students. The ideal candidate is based in the Chicagoland-area for this hybrid in-person/remote role with the ability to work in-person at Noble Support Team (NST) offices and travel to any of Noble’s 17 campuses on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy
  • Strategic Advisor. Serve as a strategic partner to the NST College Team in defining the most important questions that data must answer and drive progress towards College Goals within Noble’s 3-year Strategic Plan.
  • Define Priorities, Goals, and Benchmarks. Partner with college leaders across the network to validate goals, priorities, leading metrics of success, and benchmarks of progress. Translate college team priorities into data priorities.
  • Strategic Planning & Data Disciplines. Embed data into strategic planning, reviews, and decision-making processes of college leaders across the network.
  • Network Leadership & Strategic Alignment. Serve as strategic advisor and coach across NST teams, Pals, Chiefs, and other senior leaders to accelerate impact of other functional areas and ensure alignment towards college outcomes.

Data Analysis & Insights
  • Produce Insights. Deliver not just dashboards and tools, but also analytical insights that shed light on impact of practices, interventions, and programs.
  • Storytell & Inspire Action. Through compelling data storytelling, communicate clear and accessible insights from complex analyses to a broad range of stakeholders. Provide actionable recommendations and stamp best data-backed practices for college staff and ensure follow-through.
  • Measure. Assess the impact of Noble’s college programs and strategies using both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.

Application & Learning
  • Training & Development. Increase college staff effectiveness through delivering training on data products that augment counseling impact and save time.
  • Adoption & Usage. Ensure adoption and fidelity of use of data tools/products across 17 campus sites.
  • Build Staff Data Fluency. Build data fluency and literacy of leaders and staff through coaching and ongoing training & development.

Data Management & Systems
  • Data Governance: Set the standard for data management quality, metrics definitions, and documentation across the college team.
  • Data Systems Sustainability. Partner with the NST Data Team to reduce risk of single point of failure in college data systems, sunset legacy systems, and streamline/migrate existing systems. 
  • Engineer & Maintain Data Products, Processes, and Systems. Engineer, maintain, and evolve as-necessary core data products in Noble’s suite of college analytic tools i.e. College Bot, Counseling Playbook, Salesforce, Retool, etc.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience in education and/or data analytics field or adjacent field.
  • Required. Proficiency in Python, other programming languages, and/or statistical analysis tools.
  • Required. Experience with Tableau Desktop or Server or other data visualization platforms.
  • Required. Advanced in Google Sheets and/or Excel.
  • Demonstrated success in driving technological implementations and strong adoption of data products across a range of non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in data analytics-related field, is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL queries, preferably across multiple database platforms, is preferred.
  • Experience in CRMs like Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle, Postgres, and/or BigQuery, is preferred.

Compensation

Compensation for this role typically starts between $90,000 to $106,250 annually, with final salary commensurate with experience and expertise.
