General Description

The Assistant Director of Continuing Education (CE) is responsible for supporting the Director with development, operation, evaluation, and supervision of the continuing education (vocational, avocational, and customized corporate) program. These initiatives are conducted in response to community and student needs and reflect changes in the workforce and community demographics. Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Education or a related field and two (2) years current related work experience. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience in grant application or management. Position requires superior customer service skills, the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects, and the ability to communicate collaboratively and work effectively with individuals and leadership of various organizations. This position requires research techniques to gather, analyze, and summarize information for the development of successful workforce training projects. The position requires the ability to work independently under pressure, meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction. The position requires experience with word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, and online research resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer software is required. A criminal background check is also required.
