Job Description:
The University of Florida College of Pharmacy seeks an Assistant Director of Development to focus on fundraising for the College of Pharmacy through personal contacts and facilitation of events that assist the development effort. Reporting to the Director/Senior Director of Advancement, this position will identify prospects, cultivate and close both annual giving and mid-range gifts. Additionally, this role will serve as a strategic partner with the college and UF Advancement ensuring conformity with the central fundraising efforts and the overall university development and alumni programs goals and in promoting a culture of philanthropy by broadening constituents' understanding of the value of giving.

Duties Include:
Portfolio Management
Responsible for identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual and mid-range gift prospects.
Focus on individual, corporate and foundation prospects and gifts that range from $5k - $250k. Prospects that show capacity/intent of $250k and above will be strategized on with the Senior Director of Advancement.
Manage corporate sponsorships by cultivating relationships, coordinating solicitations, and maintaining ongoing engagement with partners.
In coordination with the Director/Senior Director of Advancement, attend college and UF Advancement functions to identify new individuals and move prospects through the donor continuum. These events include but are not limited to: Pharmacy State Association Receptions, Dean's Leadership Council, Young Alumni Council, Orientation, Grand Guard, Gator 100, 40 Gators under 40, President's Box, Evening of Excellence, and Alumni BBQ.
Build a portfolio of fundraising prospects and strategically manage relationships through face-to-face visits.
Strategic Initiatives
Coordinate the Young Alumni Council by managing membership, communicating with members, and planning and executing two annual meetings, including agenda development and speaker coordination.
Responsible for implementation of a broad range of development and alumni affairs activities including fundraising projects that target individuals, corporations, and foundations to support the annual fund of the College of Pharmacy.
Project management of Pharmacy's role in Gator Nation Giving Day.
Coordinate all annual fund strategies and solicitations via central Annual Giving and internally with direct mail projects, including specialty fundraising initiatives such as the White Coat Project.
Project management and coordination of all aspects of the college's annual $100k Crisafi Challenge.
Manage communications with the Student Affairs team to ensure meaningful donor-student engagement.
Assist the Director/Senior Director of Advancement in managing and executing plans and policies for the administration of the College's overall development and alumni affairs program.
Administrative
Draft correspondence to donors, prospects, alumni, and corporations for the development office and Dean.
Ensure best practices in office systems, practices, files, and record keeping; ensure effective use of strategic tools and resources, such as contact reports, prospect management, research, and analysis, and the Ascend database.
