Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Career Services, the Assistant Director for Employer Engagement and Outcomes leads the colleges employer engagement and outreach strategy. This includes conducting proactive outreach to new employers across industries through a maintained schedule of site visits, pitch meetings, and follow-up on new leads, and expanding and nurturing relationships with existing partners by consulting on positioning, recommending ways to enhance visibility, and capturing and reporting on market and recruiting trends and hiring data. The role serves as the primary point of contact for key employer partners, ensuring timely communication, benefit delivery, and positive recruitment outcomes, and maintains an employer development pipeline with relationship progress and outcomes tracked in Handshake. The Assistant Director represents Career Services at employer sites, recruitment events, and industry conferences, and standardizes processes across the Employer Engagement unit so that outreach, communications, and programming operate consistently.
The Assistant Director also acts as a Career Services liaison to employer-facing stakeholders across the college, including academic Deans, faculty, department chairs, alumni relations, workforce and community partners, and student organizations, working to uncover new employer partnership opportunities and connect recruiters to relevant talent pipelines.
