      Position Description:

      1. Recruitment Management and Application Review (40%)

      • Provide information about the University's academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders through presentations, emails, calls, and one-on-one conversation.

      • Plan, develop, and implement on and off campus recruitment travel and activities for assigned recruitment region.

      • Meet with prospective students through various channels, including high school visits, campus interviews, information sessions, and workshops.

      • Review, evaluate, and provide initial undergraduate admission recommendations based on university criteria.

      • Act as a connection point for prospective students to other campus stakeholders (i.e. faculty, financial aid, registrar, etc.) to meet undergraduate enrollment goals.

      • Engage in efforts to make higher education more accessible, equitable, and inclusive; participate in working groups to embed these efforts in job responsibilities.

      2. Large Scale Event Management (40%)

      • With leadership from the senior assistant director of visits and events, manage the planning, promotion, and execution of the office's large scale on campus recruitment and yield events, including Fall Preview Days, admitted student days, Redhawk Summer Fridays, and Admitted Redhawk Experience Fridays.

      • Set the agenda and programmatic content for assigned events and coordinate logistical details in partnership with campus stakeholders, including Conference and Events Services and catering.

      • Serve as direct contact for participating campus partners.

      • Keep Undergraduate Admissions staff and campus stakeholders informed on event details, promotional efforts, and results of events. supporting the University in meeting annual enrollment goals including headcount, diversity, academic strength, and discount rate.

      3. Precollege Program Management (20%)

      • Manage planning and execution of precollege programs for high school aged students, including residential on campus programming.

      • Collaborate with recruitment and marketing areas on precollege recruitment and marketing efforts

      • Review and update the precollege program application on an ongoing basis.

      • Lead hosting duties for precollege events, including oversight of residential logistics and student experience.

      • Recruit, train, and supervise precollege student workers.

      Other duties as assigned.

      Education Requirements

      Minimum: Bachelor's Degree (4-year) in a relevant field.

      Experience

      Minimum of 1 year of professional admissions experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the job. Experience managing large scale events is preferred.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Must possess well-developed organizational skills and acute attention to detail.

      • Confidence in public speaking to both large and small groups.

      • Strong oral and written communication skills.

      • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with campus partners and stakeholders.

      • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and supporting diverse student populations.

      • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and logistical details under deadlines.

      • Ability and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary, especially in fall and spring.

      • Available for end of July and early August Pre-College events

      • Willingness to learn quickly, ask questions, and accept constructive feedback.

      • Valid driver's license required.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Minimum of two years of event management experience.

      • Experience supervising student workers or seasonal/temporary staff.

      • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and federal and state privacy laws.

      • Experience using an ERP and CRM, specifically Workday and Technolutions Slate CRM.

      • Experience creating email and text campaigns for event promotion.

      • Knowledge of financial aid trends and issues.

      • Experience working with diverse young adults and youth.

      • Experience developing or administering residential youth programming.

      Physical Demands

      This position performs work in an office environment. Frequency values: Never; Seldom (1-10%, 0-1 hour); Occasional (11-33%, 1-3 hours); Frequent (34-66%, 3-6 hours); Constant (67-100%, not restricted).

      Compensation at a Glance

      $64,000-$70,000


      Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.

      Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3–6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.

      Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus.
