Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid provides financial aid assistance to Law School students, prospective students, and alumni.

Essential Functions

Assists Law School students, prospective students, and alumni with all aspects of financing a legal education.

Awards Fordham Law grants and loans and performs need analysis (FM and IM).

Processes federal loan applications using internal systems

Administers named scholarships program, including data management, and assists with establishment of new scholarships.

Conducts entrance/exit interviews.

Coordinates and maintains web content.

Assists with financial literacy education, office operations, and preparation/review of ad hoc documents.

Assists with the organization of the annual Scholarship Reception.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 2 years of student financial services experience.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service experience.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Banner, PowerFAIDS, and ACES2.

LSAC Unite

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (LawNet), including document management, content updates, and intranet administration

Minimum Starting Salary $66,555 Maximum Starting Salary $80,000 Note Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills. Is this a Union position? No
