Occupational Summary
The Assistant Director of Government Relations supports Duke University's advocacy and engagement efforts with state and federal government officials and agencies. The Assistant Director will play a key role in advancing Duke's legislative and regulatory priorities by monitoring policy developments, supporting strategic outreach, and strengthening relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.

Education/Training
Work requires communication, writing, analytical and organizational skills acquired through the completion of a bachelors degree program.
Experience
Work requires a minimum of four years of experience in state or federal government relations, advocacy, policy analysis, public relations or a related field in order to coordinate and support a comprehensive government relations program.
Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $70,349.00 to USD $129,548.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidates work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
