    Position Summary: Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON ) – RN

    The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations of the facility. This leadership role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting high-quality, resident-centered care. The ADON plays a vital role in staff development, clinical oversight, and maintaining a positive and professional care environment.


    Qualifications:

    1. Current R.N. license in the state of Arkansas
    2. Must have at least two years of nursing experience
    3. Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
    4. Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
    5. Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills
    6. Ability to lead a team with professionalism and compassion
    7. Excellent communication skills with staff, residents, and families


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations
    2. Supervise, guide, and support nurses and nursing assistants
    3. Ensure care plans are implemented and updated appropriately
    4. Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and families
    5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
    6. Participate in audits, quality assurance, and infection control initiatives
    7. Assist with admissions, discharges, and overall clinical workflow
    8. Support staffing coordination and scheduling needs
    9. Mentor and develop nursing staff to strengthen the clinical team
    10. Serve as acting DON in the absence of the Director of Nursing
