Rydal Park, a premier HumanGood Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown, PA, is hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our Skilled Nursing Team. 

The ADON supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, directing, organizing, and evaluating nursing services to meet the total needs of our residents; ensures an efficient health facility operation in cooperation with other departments and in compliance with state and federal regulations; and provides care in accordance with our “Philosophy for person-directed Care.”

Schedule: Flexible Monday - Friday; rotating on-call weekends availability  

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year

 

Key duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: 

  • Making daily rounds observing residents and ensuring staffing levels meet residents' needs; ensuring all appropriate and necessary nursing care is provided.
  • Interacting with residents and families/responsible parties and staff; answering questions, providing directions and support.
  • Directing admissions and discharges; coordinating with assisted living and independent living staff when necessary.
  • Supervising and mentoring clinical and unit management staff; acting on team member problems and requirements.
  • Maintaining or establishing essential policies and procedures.
  • Processing Medicare and insurance forms; directing Medicare A approval and denials; keeping families/responsible parties informed of status. 
  • Participating in QAPI and OBRA meetings, attending interdisciplinary team and resident review meetings.
  • Performing other related essential duties as required.

 

What you need to be successful in this job: 

  • Current RN license; BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience  
  • Minimum of 1-year management experience in related field
  • Excellent clinical observation and assessment skills
  • Demonstrating strong leadership skills, i.e., is confident and comfortable leading, guiding, mentoring, building teamwork, and holding staff accountable; sees challenges as opportunities
  • Excellent customer service acumen and computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members
  • Current CPR certification
