    Job Summary:

    Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Nursing for Psychiatric Services, the Assistant Director of Nursing for Psychiatric Services assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing, and overseeing assigned inpatient units and corresponding initiatives and programs. Specific duties include management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Bachelor''s degree in Nursing or Master''s degree in Nursing required. Minimum of 5 years relevant post RN licensure experience to include 2 years of nursing management/supervisory experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS certification required by time of

    appointment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Psychiatric administration preferred. OMH regulatory knowledge preferred. Masters degree preferred.
