Job Description:

Participates in institutional committees and initiatives and represents the university at professional, community, and recruitment events as needed. Assists Registrar with editing the Academic Bulletin, daily office duties, and general registrar responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Assists Registrar with graduation processes, performs degree audits, confers degrees, and ensures accuracy of graduation lists. Plans, coordinates, and supervises pre-registration, registration, and add/drop procedures for academic sessions. Maintains official student computerized records, including online collection of grades, official grade changes, and the degree audit system. Supervises support specialists and assigned staff, delegating appropriate tasks to the Office of the Registrar staff. Communicates effectively with students, faculty, staff, internal and external customers. Evaluates and processes all petitions, evaluates all transcripts for transfer of credit, and supervises transfer of credit data entry. Works closely with academic departments to coordinate and implement the academic and final exam schedule. Coordinates the execution of academic policy. Creates and participates in commencement program.

  • • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations [Required]
  • • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals [Required]
  • • Familiarity with higher education organization, academic policies and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act [Preferred]
  • • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Preferred]
  • • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of audience members [Preferred]
  • • Bilingual [Preferred]

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • in higher education

Work Experience:

  • 2+ in related field [Required]
