Key Accountabilities:
Assist the Director of Security and Operational Risk in leading daily security operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors while protecting hotel assets.
Oversee security policies, procedures, and programs, including master key controls, emergency preparedness, fire drills, safety initiatives, patrols, access control, and hotel lock and in-room safe systems.
Lead incident response and investigations, addressing guest and colleague incidents, theft, accidents, medical emergencies, fire, disorderly conduct, bomb threats, civil disturbances, natural disasters, and other emergency situations.
Support the leadership and development of the Security team, including scheduling, payroll, performance evaluations, training, daily documentation, coaching, and ensuring officers maintain the highest standards of professionalism and service.
Foster a positive, collaborative security culture throughout the hotel by promoting teamwork, maintaining strong communication with hotel leadership and departments, and modeling exceptional judgment, discretion, and guest service.
General Requirements:
5+ years of security experience, with progressive leadership responsibility in a luxury hotel, hospitality, or similarly complex environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing security teams, including scheduling, training, performance management, and daily operations.
Strong knowledge of hotel security, safety, emergency preparedness, and incident response, with the ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
Current CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to respond effectively to medical and emergency situations.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a professional, discreet, service-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and hotel leadership.
