The Student Success team ensures that BU undergraduate students are well prepared to make the most of the vast array of opportunities BU offers. Members of the Student Success team help incoming first-year and transfer students transition to BU academic and campus life, they collaborate with faculty and staff across campus to connect students to academic and cocurricular opportunities and resources, and they support students who encounter personal and academic challenges. In addition, the Student Success team offers programming to foster a sense of belonging and to help students think creatively about their pathways through Boston University and beyond. Responsibilities The Assistant Director of First-Year Student Success (ADFYS) works closely with other Student Success team members to support the academic and personal success of undergraduates during their time at BU.
Reporting to the Director of Student Success in the Provost's Office, the ADFYS supports efforts such as new student orientation and student success seminars, as well as taking on other duties as assigned.
