SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Operations plans, administers and directs all meal services operations. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Develops, implements and maintains trayline and retail operations

Enforces quality control standards for patient food items including temperature, food handling, quality, taste and presentation

Develops schedules and assignments

Supports operation of the nutrition services software system that manages retail and patient operations

Monitors employee performance

Responsible for staff training

Responsible for supervising human resource, finance and administrative positions

Responsible for regulatory adherence

Drives and Improves customer satisfaction

Conducts quality assurance monitoring

Responsible for adhering to sanitation requirements

Develops policies and procedures related to all meal services and finances

Develop and manage clinical performance improvement plans and activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BS Degree preferred, Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

5-8 years previous management experience in large-scale/ high-volume food service operation required

Serv-Safe Certification preferred

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
