SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director, Operations is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and strategic oversight of transportation operations across multiple field office locations. This individual assists in directing and coordinating operational activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory compliance. Implements the continuous development and delivery of training to ensure all staff are well-prepared, compliant, and aligned with operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent should be able to perform all the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree is required. Relevant, full-time leadership experience in operations, transportation logistics, or corrections may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in operations, transportation logistics, or corrections required. Prior experience in a correctional, law enforcement, or military environment is preferred. Must demonstrate strong problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management skills with knowledge of applicable transportation regulations, and experience managing multi-site operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with operational management software (e.g., GPS fleet tracking, scheduling tools) is required. A valid driver's license is required.
